Parent Meeting – July 30

On Friday, July 30, Packers parents are invited to attend a meeting to cover items of importance. The meeting starts at 7:30pm and will take place in the bleachers of George Jr High while football practice is in progress. Attendance at the meeting is encouraged although not mandatory. For people not able to attend the meeting they should continue to check the website for updates on important items.

If football practice happens to be cancelled due to weather this meeting will be also be cancelled.

Revised Camp Schedule

Due to the condition of the field at Velasquez Elementary, we have relocated our summer camp to George Junior High.

Please note the revised schedule:

Thursday, July 29th, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm

Friday, July 30th, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm

Saturday, July 31st, from 9:00am to 11:00am

Camp Cancelled – Wednesday, July 28th

We are cancelling camp on Wednesday, July 28th, due to field conditions. This only applies to the Freshman through the Senior squads. The Flag squad will be having camp at Athletic Revolution on Greatwood Parkway at 6:00pm.

We will be distributing helmets, so come by Velasquez Elementary to pick up your son’s helmet.

6:00 – 6:30 pm: Sophomore & Junior Teams
6:30 – 7:00 pm: Freshman & Senior Teams

Final payment and grade progression

Parents, just a couple of updates regarding registration fees and required documentation.

All unpaid registration fees must be paid during the week of July 26. Carol Kostelnik will have a table set-up on some days/times during that camp week for payments to be made. Carol has up-to-date payment records for anyone not sure of their status.

Also, no later than the week of Aug 9th we will set-up a table to collect a copy of the ‘grade progression report’ for all children with the exception of those participating at a flag level. Please note that we need the school’s signed ‘grade progression report’ indicating the grade the child will be entering in the upcoming school year and we do not want/need the child’s report card grades. This is a league requirement. At that same time we will collect copies of birth certificates for children who are new to the Packers organization. Parents are being given advance notice here so that when the copies are requested/needed in the near future they will be prepared to provide.

FBYFL Camp/Cookoff

Spring Camps

Dates: May 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27

Time: 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Location: River Park on Ransom Road

Chick Fil A sandwiches and nuggets will be sold on Wednesday night from 7:30 to 8:15 while supplies last.
